We now offer some antique and heritage varieties on a limited basis. Cox Orange Pippin - The English dessert apple. Tart, firm, juicy and aromatic. Bramley's Seedling - A traditional English cooking apple. Large, very tart and reputed to be high in vitamin C. It is a green apple that may develop a pink blush. Caville Blanc - A French apple. Wonderful for pies and hard cider. Tart, very white flesh that resists browning when cut. Golden Russet - Intense acidic, sweet flavor. The russet skin imparts a somewhat nutty flavor. Very good for both fresh eating and cider. An excellent keeping apple. Holstein Pippin - German origin suspected to be a seedling of Cox Orange Pippin. Firm, juicy and tart with a citrus aroma. Elstar - A Dutch apple that is crisp, juicy and sweet/tart. Ashmead's Kernal - Lightly russeted skin, very tart, dense flesh. Aromatic and flavorful. Esopus Spitzenberg - Thomas Jefferson's favorite apple. Tart, juicy and flavorful. Good for both eating and cider.
